Anglo Saxon Iron Spangenhelm on Stand Sofas found in Northern EnglandOriginates from: England Era: 6th Century Dimensions: 11 H x 9 Exceedingly rare and unbelievably beautiful Anglo Saxon battle helmet or Spangenhelm, from the 4th 6th century, made of heavy iron. Comprised of two wide iron bands, affixed by iron rivets to the crown of the helm. Built in a conical shape to deflect blows. An iron banded accent to which the nose piece was affixed is still present although the nose extension has been lost to time. Features
