a long wispy figure as thin as the young pine trees that grew around them

Every direction green, twisting limbs and thorned leaves invade her line of sight. Her breath comes in short, shallow pants. What direction had she come from? Did she last take a right or was it maybe a left? She wasnt lost, or at least she refused to admit it to herself yet that she was. The maze was so still, shielded from the midnight breeze and causing it to be stifling hot and suffocating
